Prohio Soybean Variety Description

 

Prohio is an early maturity soybean cultivar that was developed jointly by the USDA-Agricultural Research Service and The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster, Ohio, and was released as a high-protein high-yielding maturity Group IV, non-Roundup ReadyŽ cultivar in December 2006.  The interesting aspect of this line is its high protein content.  It has a moderate level of partial resistance against Psojae.  It has purple flowers, tawny pubescence, tan pods, with black hilum.  No application for U.S. Plant Variety Protection will be made for Prohio.
